Box Packaging and Preparation

In factories and warehouses, end-of-line (EoL) box packaging and preparation activities are essential to ensure that products are ready for shipment. These tasks include feeding materials into shipping boxes, counting items, scanning/updating data into the software, folding and taping boxes, labelling, and palletising. While some facilities automate a few of these tasks, many operations still rely on manual labour or semi-automation, which can limit efficiency and scalability.

Operators manually manage the process. Some activities are semi-automated or fully automated, but generally not all of them.

How does Botsync automate box packaging and preparation?

Our solution can integrate multiple systems like cobots, case erectors, scanners and WMS/ERP software under one platform to seamlessly automate the end to end packaging process. Cobots are used to automate box packaging tasks, such as picking and placing items into shipper cartons. Case erectors then form the boxes, which are fed to the cobots for filling. Labelling and scanning processes are fully automated to update data dynamically into a business process software like a WMS. All of these processes are orchestrated in real time by the SyncOS™ integrator which manages the overall logic and optimizes workflow to boost throughput and efficiency for the user.
